HOW ACCOM CAME TO BE
A LITTLE BLACK BOOK THAT GOT TOO GOOD TO KEEP TO MYSELF
Accom began as the list I kept for friends. Fifteen years and 54 countries of travel, and a habit of writing down the places that stayed with me long after I had checked out. People kept asking for it, so I started sharing it.
What sets Accom apart is simple. I only recommend places I have actually stayed. Nothing is here because somebody paid for it to be, and nothing is here that I have not walked through the door of myself. These are the stays I would send my closest friends and family to.
That is also why this page exists. I am always looking for somewhere new to explore, and some of my favourite finds began with a note from the person who runs the place. Every property is different, so every partnership is too. There is no rate card and no package to choose from. Here is how it usually unfolds.

A few lines and a link are plenty. I read every note myself.
2. We talk it through
If it feels like a fit, we will find a time to chat about your property, your guests and what you are hoping for.
3. We come and stay
This is the one thing that never changes. Nothing joins the collection until I have experienced it as a guest.
4. We share it, in our own words
If I loved it, your property may join our Stays, appear in a Travel Notebook, or be shared with our community on Instagram and Pinterest.
A promise to our readers, and to you
A partnership never buys a place on Accom, and it never shapes what I write. Some stays include a link through to the property, and Accom may earn a small commission if a reader goes on to stay, at no extra cost to them. Wherever that is the case, we say so. It keeps the collection honest, which is the reason people trust it, and the reason being part of it means something.
